Wedding Keepsakes That Outlast the Album
The flowers fade by morning; they don't have to. A guide to preserving varmalas, invitations and vows in resin.
By ResinRiva Studio
The varmala exchange lasts a minute. The garlands themselves barely last the week. It's always struck us as wrong that the most photographed object of a wedding is also the first thing thrown away.
What can actually be preserved
Varmala petals, invitation cards, a handwritten vow, the kalire, even a small piece of the wedding outfit — anything flat or petal-like sets beautifully in crystal resin. Flowers need to reach us within 3–5 days; we dry and stabilise them before the pour.
Choosing a format
Frames suit walls and mantels; blocks and domes live on desks and bedside tables. Couples most often choose a frame for the home and two small blocks as gifts for both sets of parents — the same flowers, shared three ways.
The timeline, honestly
Preservation cannot be rushed: drying takes two weeks, layered pours another one to two. Plan for the keepsake to arrive around your one-month anniversary — a second occasion, on us.
Start the conversation before the wedding if you can. One WhatsApp message in advance means courier instructions are waiting the morning after.
